About Northern Rail Services
Railroad Construction in New England has always been a passion of Michaels. He worked 20 years for Con Rail as a track inspector and foreman. This opened the door that really got him invested in the business. Thus starting his own company, Northern Rail Services, in 1995. In that time he has built a strong reputation servicing the rail needs of private industries in the Northeast US.
At Northern Rail Services, our railway capabilities are unmatched. Our team certified in railroad bridge repair, rail design, train crossings, rail track welding, and more. We can provide new track construction services all throughout New England. In addition, we offer exceptional planning to maximize your construction dollar and minimize your downtime. Track design is also available to help you bring your vision to reality.
Building a Track
When it comes to building a railroad track, it is important to be prepared for maintenance as well. This is where we come in. After years of use and enduring the elements, rail and ties can experience significant wear and tear, or move out of proper alignment. Outdated or lighter-weight tracks often require upgrades to accommodate modern trains.
Rehabilitating Track Structures
Northern Rail Services can rehabilitate any track or structure, offering improvements to design and safety as well as bringing all components up to date with today’s technology. When you choose to work with us, it’s like choosing a whole new railroad design. We can bring the oldest railroad tracks to look and feel brand new.
Whether it comes down to laying rail track ties or building in the busiest of cities, our team travels all over New England. In our time, we have seen some of the most complex railroad systems in history. Our team has worked on numerous historical railroad landmarks. Including, but not limited to the CSX Corporation, Connecticut Southern Railroad, Pioneer Valley Railroad, MBTA, and more.
Our mission is to continue to provide quality services in the freight rail industry using our highly-qualified team.
